Home Remedies to De-Tan

Natural De-Tanning: now easy, and quick!

With climate change developing extreme and unprecedented weather conditions, one thing is constant and promised – it is going to get hotter. But how is that relevant to tanning? Well, sunlight radiates UV rays, which affects how much melanin, the pigment that causes our skin to darken or lighten, is produced. With higher amounts of UV radiation, our skin produces more melanin to protect us from it; hence, we tan!

While it is not permanent, not everyone can afford to spend hours every weekend at the spa to get de-tanned. So if you’re looking for cheap, natural, and effective methods to lighten your tanned skin, we got you. However, the results may vary with your skin type and the intensity of tanning on your skin.

De-Tan: Reasons to do it right away!

Why should one even de-tan their skin when the entire point of skin darkening is to protect us from the UV rays? Although our skin is doing its best to act as our guardian mother (we love you, melanin), sunlight still manages to pierce through the protective layer and cause not many, but significant damages. De-tanning not only repairs those damages, but also enhances skin clarity. And believe it or not, it helps in maintaining appropriate pH balance of the skin! So, if you want to remove dirt from the pores of your skin, or remove extra oil, de-tanning is the way to go.
